The rise of artificial intelligence represents a fundamental shift in the agenda of supervisory boards — presenting new opportunities for value creation but also increasing responsibilities in governance, risk and ethics. This session focuses on the implications of AI for the boardroom, discussing the recently developed AI Governance Principles for Boards, a global initiative by KPMG and INSEAD. Special guest Prof. Annet Aris (INSEAD), co-author of the principles and leading voice in corporate governance, will discuss the strategic choices facing boards today regarding responsible and forward-looking oversight of AI.
